This is a kit we put together of all of the interchangeable bolts you should generally need for the Jeep 4.0 inline six cylinder along with the 2.5 four cylinder engine. This kit will come with 12 bolts (4 different styles) in one kit. I will have the other optional bolts to be purchased separately as you need.
The Main Kit includes #2242 4- 1/4-20 Oil Pan Bolts 7/16 Head size-1/2 Inch long 5- 1/4-20 Timing Cover Small Bolts 3/8 Head Size-3/4 Inch Long 1- 1/4-20 Timing Cover Long Bolt 3/8 Head Size 1-1/4 Inch Long 2- 5/16-18 Timing Cover Centering Bolts 5/8 Head Size 1-1/2 Long
#2249 Is used on ZJs and 2.5s I believe for the Lower Alternator Bracket, Maybe Others. - 3/8-16 2-1/2 Inches Long
#2250 & #2473 Are Used in the same spot with two different Styles per year. Both are use on XJs For the Alternator Stud Mount, This is the Two Upper Studs.
- Basically Earlier models use a smaller bolt with nuts, newer ones use a threaded mount.
- #2250 - This is The Newer- 3/8-16 2-3/4 Inches Long with 3/4 Long 3/8-16 stud- 5/8 Size Head - This Version threads into the Aluminum Bracket without Nuts
- #2473 is the OLDER Version of #2250 using Nuts To attach to the engine. Comes with BOTH Nuts for both ends of the studs - Earlier- 5/16-18 3.1 Inches Long with 3/4 Long 3/8-16 Stud- 11/16 Size Head
#2250 - #2251 - #2473 ALL come with Outer and Inner Nuts Needs
- #2251 Is the other bolt for the XJs alternator mount. 5/16-18 1-1/2 Inches Long with a 3/4 Long 3/8-16 Stud This is the Lowest Mounting Stud on the Timing Cover For ALL XJS
- There was a shorter and longer version of the 2251 but I couldn't figure out the pattern - If you know you need one or the other you can leave a note at checkout if you would like. See the last pictures. - Dex
